The interview
This is an interview of our sales manager Jacky. Jacky will talk about a 10k quantity Mifi ODM order.

P (short for Philip) : Hello Jacky! It’s great to chat with you today! Please introduce yourself.
J (short for Jacky) : Hello Philip! I’m a sales manager from Harvilon. Today I’d like to share a successful customer case from a Middle East country (information hidden for customer privacy).
P: That sounds great! How did this customer find you?
J: Good question! Mr. Muhammad (not real name) found us through our website (www.harvilontech.com). He was interested in our MF833 wireless MiFi. Mr. Muhammad had some ideas about the product design, so he sent a message through the website and left his email address.
P: It sounds like an ODM customer.
J: Yes. After some sample communication, Mr. Muhammad purchased five samples for testing.
Upon receiving Mr. Muhammad’s sample purchase order, I placed an order for samples supporting the Middle East frequency bands immediately. After standard sample tests, the samples were immediately shipped to Mr. Muhammad’s address by air.
About thirty days later, Mr. Muhammad happily informed us that after various tests, the MF833 product had won out among several alternative options.
P: That sounds like fierce competition! But a good wireless product not only needs a suitable price but also good quality that can pass various tests.
J: You’re right!
There are always cheaper products on the market, but long-term stable quality requires a lot of effort. It requires not only high-quality raw materials but also high standards for processing technology. What’s more, various pre-production tests, post-production technical support, and after-sales service are necessary.
This is also why Mr. Muhammad became even more confident in choosing us after learning about our self-developed laboratory and our own factory.
P: Jacky, you mentioned that Mr. Muhammad also had his own design ideas. Any details?
J: Okay! After the samples passed the test, Mr. Muhammad informed us of his requirements. These mainly fall into three areas: hardware customization, software customization, and brand customization. I will now explain these three parts of customization in detail.
P: Okay. Could you please start with the hardware customization?
J: Mr. Muhammad requested a new shape of the product. Our appearance designer, David, talked with Mr. Muhammad, understood his needs. He designed a completely new appearance using professional software and created multi-angle renderings for Mr. Muhammad’s confirmation. After several rounds of adjustments and communication, the final appearance was confirmed.
Then our purchasing department contacted our partner injection molding factory to produce sample casings. Due to the overall structural changes, the PCBs inside our product were also modified accordingly, and samples were quickly produced on the production line.
The samples were then sent to different testing departments for various parameter tests, including but not limited to product extreme operating temperature, product signal shielding, and material aging tests. After all parameters met the standards, we sent the samples to Mr. Muhammad for confirmation.
P: That sounds like a complicated process!
J: Yes, it does require coordination and cooperation from multiple departments, and there are many things to consider. But from the customer’s perspective, they only need to state their requirements; we’ll handle all the other technical work.
P: Okay. So, what kind of software customizations are available?
J: First, there are the VPN function and the Voice Call function. Both functions are implemented through software customization. The Voice Call function is implemented through our Super Call app. In short, our technical department can fulfill all the customers’ software customization needs. Mr. Muhammad also requested backend UI customization and language customization. These are common customization requests from many clients.

P: You mentioned brand customization in the beginning. How does that work?
J: Brand customization is building the client’s brand. For example, we design and customize the product’s outer packaging. We also design the product’s logo and the startup screen logo, among other things. We provide comprehensive brand-building services for our clients.

P: Our services sound truly comprehensive and thorough! I think no one could refuse such meticulous, professional, and reliable service!
J: We hope that our professional services can provide more customers in need with the products and long-term support they require. If you have similar needs, please contact us now! We are always ready to hear from you!
